Lisa Henry

My name is Lisa Henry. I reside in Fort Worth, Texas. I studied as an undergraduate at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Economics and Finance. There, I met and married my wonderful husband of 31 years, Deacon Charles R. Henry, Jr. Together, we have three children: Nia (married to Ray Thomas Jr.), Omari, and Robert Charles. We have one grandchild, Noelle Skye Thomas.

I graduated in December 2023 from George W. Truett Seminary with a Master of Divinity (Family Ministry Concentration). I served as Bible Study teacher and Chaplain for Christian Women’s Job Corps of McLennan County (2022-2023). I served as a long term substitute teacher in the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program at Lena Pope (2023- Spring 2024).

This year, I was Ordained in the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship as a Minister. I've been a licensed minister and pulpit preaching associate for different ministries since 2014. Before accepting my call to preach, I served from 2000-2014 as an Ordained Deaconess. These ministry opportunities allowed for community service, such as Bible study teaching, street witnessing, and evangelism. I also led worship as the Minister of Music/Lead Musician for several years. I participated in mission work in Ghana and Kenya.

I am a Christ-follower, and I joy in the opportunity to serve in His Kingdom. I serve faithfully in all positions as if serving the Lord. The Holy Spirit is my guide. The Scripture is my standard. I intend to use my ministry experience and seminary study as an asset for God's Kingdom wherever God opens the door.
